Directory of Research Centres in Developing Countries

Building South-South Cooperation on applied research and training on poverty and human development is a central objective of the International Poverty Centre. We concentrate on forging strong links among researchers and policymakers in developing countries through such activities as collaborating on policy-oriented comparative research, offering training courses and holding workshops and conferences. In line with such activities, IPC is developing a directory of partner institutions doing research on poverty and human development.

The research centres currently included in our list represent 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, 38 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and 27 countries in Asia and the Pacific.

This directory is an instrument to advance the dialogue towards the reduction of poverty. Being available to a global audience, this directory enhances international cooperation and knowledge sharing among researchers and policy makers and promotes the international visibility of research centres in developing countries.
