She also undertook field visits to the municipalities of Jicalapa, San Agustín, Jutiapa and Masahuat to meet with local stakeholders and beneficiaries and observe and report on the processes involved in the programme’s implementation.

The Initiative for Policy Dialogue is led by Nobel-Prize Winner Joseph Stiglitz .The presentations and seminars focused on access to credit (both small-scale credit and large-scale loans), the regulation of the bank system and securities markets , and foreign direct investment. Cross-country comparisons as well as several country case studies were discussed.
